About the Principal

Samuel Levi, MAI, ASA.

Mr. Levi holds the highest level of licensure (Certified General) in 15 states, which allows him to appraise any property type, regardless of complexity or value. In practice for over 20 years, he has extensive experience appraising all types of properties for varied purposes and clients, including mortgage lending, estate, tax appeal, IRS donation, and rent studies for Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He is especially knowledgeable and skilled in the tax appeal arena, having testified as expert witness in hundreds of tax appeal cases. Mr. Levi has successfully services a very wide range of clients, including banks, developers, attorneys, tax appeal petitioners, government agencies and many others.

 

Mr. Levi has successfully achieved the prestigious MAI designation conferred by the Appraisal Institute, as well as the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. These designations are awarded after rigorous training, and considerable experience, and requires comprehensive examinations and demonstration of advanced knowledge and technique.

In addition, during his career, Mr. Levi has:

  • Appraised virtually all major property types, including (but not limited to): Office buildings, shopping centers, industrial buildings, residential subdivisions, special purpose buildings (schools and religious facilities), vacant land, nursing homes and gas stations.
  • Qualified and testified as expert witness in hundreds of cases of litigation involving real estate, including at the NJ State Tax Court and New Jersey Superior Court.
  • Served as official appraisers of several municipalities. In that capacity, he has provided appraisal services to the township for tax assessment matters, and litigation support at the County Tax Board and State Tax Court levels.
  • Approved for the New Jersey Green Acres and Blue Acres program.
  • Held a multi year contract for all Rent Comparability Studies commissioned by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
